Attend as a Delegate

If you are between the ages of 21-28 with leadership qualities, and are interested in global issues and concerns, then One Young World is an international networking opportunity you don't want to miss.

At the One Young World summit, you will have a chance to meet with young leaders like yourself, hear from world-renowned leaders on issues of global importance, vote to pass resolutions for a better future, and take in the sites of one of the world's most interesting cities.

Costs and Sponsorship Opportunities
A fee of $5,200 will cover your travel from anywhere in the world, hotel accommodations, meals and registration costs.

Registration for the 2011 summit closes in late June. Check back for additional information on the 2012 One Young World summit, or contact us at oywpittsburgh@eurorscg.com.

If you are interested in attending, but do not have the funds to do so, there are additional ways to make your attendance possible.

  • Talk to your employer. Many organizations are committed to providing their employees with opportunities for growth and development. Your employer may have funds set aside to support you or your educational development – so talk to your employer if you're interested in attending.
  • Find a sponsor. Are you involved with an organization, or do you attend a university? Many of these institutions have grants and scholarships to support cultural awareness initiatives, or educational forums such as this. One Young World can send you a letter template to help make it easier for you to approach an organization. Last year, several attending delegates received sponsorships from universities, foundations, media companies, and others.
  • Help a sponsor find you. By simply creating an application profile, prospective sponsors can browse through and select a delegate in need of financial support. In a few cases last year, sponsors agreed to pay for delegates to attend One Young World after having been impressed by their profile.

Nominate or Sponsor a Delegate

You can be seen as a force for good and an exemplary leader in your industry, country or region, by nominating or sponsoring a delegate.

If you know of a young person that should be heard, or an individual who would like to contribute to this forum, you can choose to nominate and/or sponsor that person.

You can also make a difference by sponsoring delegates from developing countries – or by selecting candidates from across the world that are looking for support and a chance to represent their country.

Having a strong delegation from Pittsburgh helps us demonstrate our support for One Young World as well as tomorrow's leaders. If you are interested in sponsoring or nominating a delegate for the 2011 summit in Zurich, or should the 2012 summit come to Pittsburgh, contact us at oywpittsburgh@eurorscg.com.

Serve as a Counselor

Representatives from today's leading businesses, government bodies and organizations attend One Young World to share their experiences and expertise, and facilitate debates and dialogues between delegate speakers and their audiences.

Last year's inaugural summit included counselors such as Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu, Kofi Annan, Bob Geldof, Muhammad Yunus, U.S. Senator John Kerry, Crown Prince Haakon and Oscar Morales.

If you're interested in serving as a counselor for the 2012 One Young World summit, should it come to Pittsburgh, contact us at oywpittsburgh@eurorscg.com.
